I have been providing freelance services since 2003. For the previous 10 years, I worked as the director of development for small to mid-sized organizations, developing my extensive skills in grantwriting, individual donor cultivation and solicitation, special event planning, and corporate/foundation relations. I understand how all aspects of a development program can and must work together, and I can advise clients on the best use of their resources for fundraising purposes. My experience includes fundraising for capital projects. As a grantwriter I am a creative storyteller and I understand the role of the budget in expressing an organization’s case; I can help my clients present their numbers in a way that is clear and compelling to funders. I also review grant applications for several funders and know what people on the other side of the table are looking for. My services include grantwriting, development planning, prospect research, case statement development, report writing, solicitation letter copywriting, newsletter feature writing, and other donor communications, as well as grant review and evaluation.
