I have more than 20 years experience in the non-profit arena, having begun my career as a direct service social worker. I have been a development director and an executive director, and really like grant writing. I have worked with agencies serving youth of all ages, with a focus on child care, youth development, and adoption; women's issues; developmental disabilities; and K-12 education. I am currently an active volunteer with the Seattle Public Schools, as well as having served on numerous boards and city-wide committees. I have a special interest in children's mental health and have done a lot of research in this area.
