I have developed and written many successful grant and loan applications for private groups and government agencies to raise money for conservation, sustainable development, public works construction, and arts and heritage programs. I work with my clients to clarify their goals and objectives, write grant applications that address the funder’s stated interests, and develop realistic budgets. I am a writer, editor, biologist, educator, and musician with over twenty years of experience in writing, research, project management, and development. I have written, edited, and designed technical reports and educational materials on diverse topics from environmental issues in my native Ireland to traditional music in my adopted state of Washington. For eight years, I directed a nationally recognized conservation biology training and education program for the Audubon Society. I bring a breadth of experience and an ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences to my work.
