Special qualifications:
I have a wide range of expertise and experience that have allowed me to develop a skill set that is I believe, unique. The bulk of my grant writing experience has revolved in and around the arts, as a former professional violinist and Education Director for the Tacoma Symphony. I served several years as an elected public School Board member, requiring strong oral/written communication skills to be an effective advocate for children. To my clients, I am their advocate not just their storyteller. It is important to understand the mission, vision and programming that establishes the identity of the organization. It is my job to sharpen the focus, combine qualitative and quantitative elements, and produce a compelling picture of the organization and its mission. Client success is always my first priority. I believe in open and honest dialogue about the strengths, weaknesses, successes and challenges each client faces. I make certain proposals are produced that reflect an accurate and articulate argument as to why a funder should lend my client support. I would like to talk to you. First consultation is free, so I have the opportunity to understand the basics of your mission and share the possible ways we may be able to work together to achieve that mission.
