I have 20+ years of experience helping non-profits and state agencies to plan and raise grant funds for programs, operations, projects and capital campaigns. I’ve worked with a broad range of organizations, from small grass roots groups to more established organizations. My primary experience is in preparing government proposals, but in the last few years I’ve submitted over 85 successful grant applications to foundations and corporations. Through my work as chair of grant allocation committee, and as a proposal reviewer for USDA and King County, I know what funding agencies expect in a winning proposal. I can provide guidance on applications you’ve written prior to submittal or prepare the entire proposal document. My services also include strategic planning, budget development, board of directors training, 501(c)(3)application preparation(and bylaws and articles) and development of a non-profit’s human resources handbook.
Examples of foundation and corporate proposals: Paul G. Allen Foundation, Ida & D.V. McEachern, The Boeing Company, Adobe Community Fund, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Campaign for Human Development, Irvine Foundation, Social Justice Fund, and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Success with government proposals: Washington State Dept. of Health & Social Services (DSHS), U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA), U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services (DHHS), US Dept. of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), City of Seattle, King Co. Dept. of Health & Human Services, State of Washington Building for the Arts
