As a lifelong Seattle-area resident, I care deeply about the people, places and things that make this such a special part of the world. My personal and professional mission is to support the work of nonprofit organizations in our community that enhance the quality of life for all of us. In fulfillment of this mission, I have raised funds for nonprofit organizations in the Puget Sound area for over nine years as development staff and eventually becoming Development Director.

I have worn the many "hats" typical of smaller development shops. In addition to grant-seeking, I have broad experience with the many elements that make up a healthy resource development program such as individual donor development, public relations and marketing, and special events planning. I understand how a successful grant-seeking program can support and complement these other critical activities.

I have written successful grants to public and private funders seeking support for general operations, new programs, capacity building initiatives and special projects and have collaborated with program staff, board and volunteers to help design projects, budgets and evaluations.
