Special qualifications:
I have been writing grants since 1980. I founded the Puget Sound Grantwriters Association in 1990, served as its first President, and am now on the board. I teach grantwriting in the UW Fundraising Management Program. I write clear, concise, and highly successful grants. I also advise clients on how grants fit within an overall development program, and do board trainings to help create a development plan. I counsel clients on how to make their projects more fundable, help them with budgets, research potential funders, and attend proposal writers’ workshops. I can also teach clients how to write grants and edit grant proposals written by their staff, on the "teach a man to fish" principle.
I do prospect research on foundations, corporations and individuals. Prospect research on individuals is a separate skill from grantwriting, and constitutes a large part of my business. Let me know if I can help you.
