PSGA Panorama builds on our renowned Specialized Trainings series and Conferences ... but with more flexibility. You'll be able to learn new skills, network with colleagues, and witness grantmaking in front of a live audience. The time commitment is up to you.

The options are all yours at PSGA PANORAMA!

1. Choose from three Intensive Trainings: (8:45 a.m. - noon)

"Grantwriting from the Ground Up," an introductory/refresher session with "Grantsmanship for the GENIUS" authors Goodwin Deacon and Ken Ristine.

- OR -

"Graphic Presentation of Data for Grantwriters: Why, How, and Pitfalls to Avoid" with Emily Weiner, Manager of Foundation Partnerships for Western Washington University Foundation

We will examine some of the choices that graphics professionals make when presenting data. This workshop will demonstrate the power of using charts, maps, tables, and diagrams to tell your organization’s story. Understanding these choices will help you become as strategic, articulate, and ethical with the content and format of graphic presentations of data as you are with words.

2. Networking Lunch (noon - 12:45 p.m.)

BYO, or reserve a reasonably priced box lunch provided by FareStart

3. Grantmaking LIVE! (12:45 - 2:15 p.m.)

A panel of prominent grantmakers reveal their decision-making techniques as they review finalist applications for the $2,000 PSGA Grant and pick the 2019 winner in front of your eyes. Supported by The Ostara Group.

4. Powerful Conversations: (2:30 - 4:00 p.m.) "When You and Your Funder Don't See Eye-to-Eye: Learning to Navigate Disagreements That Impact Your Mission."

A conversation with a panel of prominent fundraisers and funders about the power dynamics in a funder/staff relationship with a grantwriting lens. How do power imbalances manifest themselves? What steps can funders and fundraisers take to smooth out that differential?  What would a future with a different dynamic look like? Enjoy dessert and coffee during this lively and important conversation!
