Sharon Frey Jones is a freelance grantwriter working for WestSide Baby, The Touching Hands Project, and other clients. Sharon has a passion for making our community a better place for children and families. She has been serving the Seattle area’s nonprofit community since 1987 through a range of marketing, public relations and development positions at organizations including Seattle Children’s Museum, Northwest Folklife, Bellevue Arts Museum and the University of Washington. In 2002 Sharon left full-time employment to care for her young children but continued to work part time as a grantwriter for a long list of organizations including WestSide Baby, PEPS (Program for Early Parent Support), Seattle Art Museum, Youth Eastside Services, and Jewish Family Service. When she’s not drafting text for grant applications or driving a carpool, Sharon is busy volunteering as a Girl Scout troop leader for her daughters’ Brownie and Cadette Troops, leading PEPS groups and serving on various PTSA committees.
