Our Mission

The Puget Sound Grantwriters Association promotes responsible, effective grantseeking and fosters connections among grantseekers, non-profits, and funders.

Looking for a Grantwriter?

PSGA is an association that provides networking and education opportunities for grantwriters. We do not have grantwriters on staff. You are welcome to browse our directory of Freelance Grantwriters or submit a job posting.

Consider becoming a member! Members receive access to special members-only networking opportunities and online communities. This is a great way to build relationships and seek guidance from other expert members!

PSGA stands boldly with others in denouncing prejudice, racism, sexism, heterosexism, ableism, ageism, bigotry, intolerance, and all other forms of discrimination.

PSGA, as a professional association, values building skills necessary to transfer wealth through grant applications and funder connections. We have a responsibility to examine how these “skill sets” benefit some grantseekers more than others and to facilitate conversations with grantmakers. We acknowledge that grantmaking inherently has inequities and injustices baked into the processes and decision-making. As a network of grantseekers serving organizations within the Puget Sound region and beyond, we are positioned to amplify the voices of those who have been harmed by injustices and empower those who offer truly equitable and just solutions.

We recognize that achieving racial equity and justice requires the voices and perspectives of those closest to the solution––communities who have been working on this for a long time. Many of the PSGA leaders, volunteers, and members have resources and proximity to wealth/power to share and relinquish. This work requires building relationships with grantseekers from diverse communities, nonprofit sectors, and organizations. At this time, race is at the center of our work as a first step to improving equity across all lived experiences.
