We have reached capacity and are no longer able to accept registrations. We also not be able to offer on-site registration. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Program Summary

Master the basic elements of grantwriting and turn your passion for doing good into projects and programs that get funded and make a difference. Learn how to craft compelling proposals, prepare detailed budgets, and skillfully tell your organization's story. Veteran grantwriter Goodwin Deacon and long-time grantmaker Ken Ristine give you tools and techniques to get started and help you understand what funders are really looking for when they read your proposals. Goodwin and Ken are co-authors of Grantsmanship for the GENIUS (2016) a highly-regarded, step-by-step guide to grantwriting.

You'll learn

  • How to write a winning letter of inquiry.
  • What funders are thinking when they read your proposal.
