Brandon Lueken
Bellevue College
Brandon Lueken is currently the Director of Grant Development for Bellevue College. For the past four years, he has helped the college earn over $4 million annually from federal, state, city, county, and private funders for awards up to $2 million. As the Grant Coordinator, he manages all pre-award activities in developing a grant: helping departments identify their needs and proposed activities, developing budgets, writing narratives, and actually pushing the submit button.
Previously, Brandon worked in higher education as a Student Affairs professional, helping students at Bellevue College, Seattle University, and the University of Washing Bothell develop leadership skills, build community, and affect change on their campuses. He holds a Master’s in Education from Seattle University and a Bachelors in English – Creative Writing from the University of Puget Sound.
He has a wide variety of experience with assisting professional organizations, serving as a campus liaison at Bellevue College to both the Council of Unions and Student Programs as well as the unofficial state-wide grant developers meeting. He also served as part of the professional organization in his Master’s Program both years as a communications chair. He would be happy to serve on the Board of Directors for the Puget Sound Grantwriters Association.
