Job Description
The Development and Communications Coordinator is responsible for the organized and timely delivery of a variety of tasks in support of NW Furniture Bank’s development objectives. The Development and Communications Coordinator will provide donor database management expertise and serve as the organizational leader for donor analytics, gift resolution, reporting, and grants management. This position will perform a critical role in the event planning and coordination of organizational fundraising and stewardship events. This person will provide additional support to the development team’s donor cultivation efforts by researching targets, creating stewardship materials, and growing the lower tier donor relationships. The position serves a critical administrative and organizational role for the team by coordinating calendars and mailings, facilitating meetings and trainings, and managing communications including all social media platforms.
Job Duties
- Cultivate and grow lower tier donor relationships
- Produce fundraising reports and analytics for Leadership Development Team
- Maintain donor database software (Little Green Light and Salesforce)
- Process donations and generate timely acknowledgements for all gifts
- Plan and coordinate fundraising and stewardship events in alignment with organizational goals, including creating innovative new development opportunities
- Manage grants process to include grant reports, submission deadlines, rejections and annual grant calendar
- Attend outreach events as needed and outlined in the strategic plan
- Steward communications calendar and facilitate action items as needed; support various communications initiatives by cataloging story pipeline, archiving photos, collecting media consent forms, and more
- Source and post social media content; find stories, pictures and any additional content that is published; collaborate with NWFB entities on a daily/weekly basis
- Oversee special projects as related to community engagement, volunteers and NWFB operations including Parking Day, Block Party, and the Sorting Room/Build Shop Handbook
- Collaborate and communicate interdepartmentally as needed
Experience/Knowledge/Skills
- BA/BS and/or experience in development work
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, data reporting, and Constant Contact
- Ability to build relationships and work with volunteers, staff, clients and the community
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude toward helping others
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Availability, dependability, and willingness to be flexible
Salary Range
62,400-83,200 annually DOE
Supplemental Information
In addition to salary, NWFB offers employees a $250/month health care reimbursement, 401(k) with a 2% match, and paid time off.
