As the Puget Sound Grantwriters Association looks forward to another year, we are gratefully accepting nominations to join our Board of Directors! Consider nominating yourself or another rising star in our field for the Board, and help continue our organization’s dedication to education, networking, equity, and community.
Board members have found the role to be a rewarding opportunity to give back to the community and make new connections to grantmakers and others in our field. We particularly seek PSGA members who have already volunteered for PSGA’s committees or events, but such experience is not required. Board members can expect to devote about 4-6 hours monthly to PSGA, including attendance at bimonthly Board meetings, an annual Retreat, and participation on a PSGA committee. In the upcoming year, PSGA will be focusing on improving its overall approach to racial justice and equity work, expanding opportunities for non-profits serving BIPOC populations, supporting grantwriters of color, and of course continuing to improve the basic grantwriting skillset of the greater Puget Sound community. For a fuller job description, see our Board Nomination Form. PSGA strongly encourages nominations of individuals from diverse backgrounds including members from black, indigenous, Latinx, Asian and Pacific Islander, bi-racial, and international backgrounds; members within the LGBTQ+ community or who are gender non-conforming, members with disabilities, and others.
If you have additional questions whatsoever, please don’t hesitate to contact Volunteer Coordinator and current Board Member Brandon Lueken at Brandon.lueken@bellevuecollege.edu or 206-708-3799.
