PSGA Panorama builds on our renowned Specialized Trainings series and Conferences … but with more flexibility. You’ll be able to learn new skills, network with colleagues, and witness grantmaking in front of a live audience. The time commitment is up to you.

1. Choose from two Intensive Trainings: (8:45 a.m. – noon)
Intensive Training Option A:
“Grantwriting from the Ground Up,” an introductory/refresher session with Goodwin Deacon, author of Grantsmanship for the GENIUS.– OR –

“Graphic Presentation of Data for Grantwriters: Why, How, and Pitfalls to Avoid” with Emily Weiner, Manager of Foundation Partnerships for Western Washington University Foundation2. Networking Lunch (noon – 12:45 p.m.) – Open to All Participants

3. Grantmaking LIVE! (12:45 – 2:15 p.m.)
A panel of three prominent grantmakers reveal their decision-making techniques as they review finalist applications for the $2,000 PSGA Grant and pick the 2019 winner in front of your eyes. Supported by The Ostara Group. Meet the panelists: Aaron Jacobs, Social Venture Partners Seattle; Jessica Saavedra, King Conservation District; Wendy Weiker, Republic Services. Moderator: Cliff Meyer, Coffee Stain Communications.
4. Powerful Conversations: (2:30 – 4:00 p.m.) “When You and Your Funder Don’t See Eye-to-Eye: Learning to Navigate Disagreements That Impact Your Mission.”
A conversation with a panel of prominent fundraisers and funders about the power dynamics in a funder/staff relationship with a grantwriting lens. Enjoy dessert and coffee during this lively and important conversation! Our panelists are: Maria Kolby-Wolfe, Northwest Immigrant Rights Project and Debra Holland, Columbia Bank.
