Freelance Grantwriter

Sander Lazar has called the Pacific Northwest home since 2005, and got his start with grant writing in 2018 when proposals he wrote funded solar power for a food bank and volunteer fire station in rural Oregon. His primary focus since then has been the arts and culture sector, with additional work focusing in equity, mental and physical health, environmental sustainability, hunger relief, public education, and community building. His educational background in both hard sciences and social sciences (biology and urban planning), combined with personal interests including equity, conservation and music, have helped him understand and write about a variety of causes.
