Stacy Fortney is the Director of Grants and Contracts at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound. Stacy moved to Seattle about 10 years ago and transitioned from working in health services research to working at a nonprofit organization. She considers herself lucky to have discovered this career path in a region where nonprofit work and philanthropy are so plentiful and in alignment. Stacy has a master’s degree in Technical and Expository Writing from the University of Arkansas and a Certificate in Fundraising Management from the University of Washington. She is a member of the Washington Women’s Foundation. Stacy has experience in grant writing/contracts, fundraising, communication, marketing/branding, expanding programs, and teaching writing to young adults. She is passionate about increasing access to behavioral health care, parenting support and education, and ensuring children & youth are safe, healthy, and reaching their fullest potential.
